Reference material is really important if I am to pull out a fair amount of detail. I usually work from photographs. Mainly one photograph but with a few I can get a better picture (so to speak) of the subject. I like to take them myself if I don't have far to travel but of course this cannot always be done so clients own photographs are usually what I use. If you are not sure which photographs would be good then send them to me and I will be able to tell you if I can use them . High Quality clear photographs are best that show a lot of detail. Old photographs with a tiny subject will not be enough as my usual work is highly detailed. If you want me to put subjects together then a fair amount of communication will take place so that you and I are both happy with it. Email - you can send them to me by email although some servers limit the size of the files and a bigger file is best Photograph - you can also send me the original photograph and this will be returned to you when the paintiung is finished. Memory stick - this will also be returned as soon as I have uploaded the photographs. Wetransfer - a great way to send large files You are also welcome to visit the studio to drop photographs off. Please remember that professional photographers photographs need to have the photographers permission first if they are to be used. FRAMING The painting will be unframed unless you would like me to have it framed. Floating frames can only be used on stretched canvases but are very popular so I have included stretched canvases in my pricing . |
The PaintingThe Original oil painting will come unframed on a canvas board varnished and ready for framing. If you would like it framed first this will be extra and will need to be picked up from the studio rather than sent.
Unframed work can be sent in specially made boxes when the painting is dry. PostagePostage is extra and will be charged when I know the exact postage costs as each piece is different.
DepositA non refundable deposit of 20% is required on booking, then the remainder on completion before I send it. I accept Paypal or cheque.
