We started the new Zoom class today , painting a baby chimp. First was the underpainting. I am trying out a new canvas. A Winsor and Newton canvas , havent a clue where I got it from, another load of canvases I ordered when I was sat in bed looking at other artists and thought it was a good idea at the time !!!

​The underpainting was quite easy on the chimp and the paint flowed quite well, however I found that I couldn't get the Raw Umber as dark as I normally do and it sinks  into the canvas....not in a bad way but getting it soft was pretty easy. So I decided to do one tonight of my own... a Snow Leopard . 

This is the first time doing a blog , so I am not actually sure what goes into them !! The last year or so has been quite different and difficult for everyone. ​I have had to do new things which i had avoided for so long mainly to do with technology.

I started off with small cameras for live demos and then ended up doing zoom classes with a bigger camera thanks to the wonderful Bonny Snowdon. It has been a massive learning curve for me but without youtube tutorials i wouldn't of been able to do it. ​
